Abstract enLeadership behaviour style is an important concept in service enterprises that operating in labour-intensive sectors. Among the factor affecting the effectiveness and success of leadership, there are also managers’ demographic characteristics and company features. In this context, the purpose of this study is to reveal the leadership style (transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style) of top level managers in the firms within the tourism sector. According to demographic characteristics and firm features, it is explained that, whether leadership style is differentiate or not. The questionnaire methodology has been used in the study. The survey has been carried out on top level managers of tourism industry firms which are located in Sakarya and Kocaeli region. Number of 107 surveys has been sent out and 80 of 107 surveys have been answered. The obtained data has been analysed by SPSS 22 statistical program. It is found out that there is no significant relationship between top level managers’ leadership style and their demographic characteristics. Also there is no significant relationship between firm characteristics and leadership styles
