Abstract:

Abstract enIn this study, the functionality of municipal web sites was evaluated to determine the level of municipalities in Turkey under the framework of e-government applications. Content analysis method was used in the research. In this context, the web site's accessibility, design, circulation, attractiveness, services for the living, transparency, services for tourists and promotion of provinces, plans and projects, executive information, local entrepreneurship-civil society linkage, passive relationship established from citizen to citizen, the main criteria expressed in terms of correctly established passive relationship, the simultaneous relationship established from the citizen to the citizen, the simultaneous relationship established from the citizen to the site and the municipal services were calculated and the rates of meeting the sub-criteria were calculated. The findings show that municipal web sites are not at the desired level in terms of functionality.
