Abstract enIn this research, it was aimed at interpreting the prospective science teachers’ conceptions about scientific knowledge and scientific method. The participants were 70 Prospective science teachers; and data were collected through open ended questions and interviews with 10 participants. The data were analyzed qualitatively by open coding technique and the conceptions were interpreted in terms of determined categories and conceptual constructions. The findings consisted of some indicators that conceptions about scientific knowledge were in harmony with realist perspective and also prospective science teachers believed in the existence of a scientific method to be followed for achieving true knowledge. At the end, some simple and applicable suggestions were given.
