Küreselleşme, günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılan kavramlardan biridir. Küreselleşmenin ekonomik, sosyal, siyasal ve kültürel boyutları vardır. Genel olarak ekonomik boyutu üzerinde durulmaktadır. İster gelişmiş, ister az gelişmiş olsun, ülkeler çeşitli konularda küreselleşme sürecinden etkilenmektedirler. Bu konulardan biri de yoksulluktur. Kimilerine göre küreselleşme, dünyada yoksulluğu azaltan, kimilerine göre de arttıran bir süreçtir. Çalışmada, küreselleşme yoksulluğu arttıran bir süreç olarak kabul edilmiş ve bu bağlamda küreselleşme ile yoksulluk arasındaki ilişkinin ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır.
Today globalization is one of the widely used concepts. There are economic, social, political and cultural dimensions of globalization. In general, it is focused on the economic dimension of it. Countries whether developed or underdeveloped are affected by the globalization process on various issues. One of them is poverty. Some economists argues that globalization reduces poverty, some economists argues that globalization increases poverty. In this study globalization has been accepted as a process which increases poverty and in this connection it is aimed to explain the relationship between globalization and poverty
