Personal information sharing via social media is increasing day by day. Social media users are deciphering their emotions and thoughts on their large friend network while paying close attention to applications that affect the privacy of private lives such as Facebook. The aim of this study is to analyze the attitudes of the emerging adults aged 18-35 to social media and privacy. In this study, a questionnaire is used as the data collection method and 200 students from European University of Lefke are applied. Those who participate to the survey are selected by random sampling method. The results of the research support the inconsistencies in the actual social behavior and the effects of violations of private life.
