Abstract:

Paris Peace Conference which convened after 1st World War and League of Nations project which brought about designing post-war period are an important historical process. This period, when the defeated states’ destiny were set, had another distinct significance for many countries with multinational structures such as Ottoman Empire. League of Nations project which was brought forward by the USA President Wilson became a light of hope for Ottoman Empire and other defeated states. Given the importance and sensitivity of the subject League of Nations project process was followed closely by Istanbul press regarding the foundation of this league. In this research, differently from previous research conducted on this topic of foundation of this league, we made the best efforts to analyze this process judging from the news and comments by Istanbul press of that period.
