Abstract:

Destination management models are the main focus of this study; thus, literature were reviewed and the models were analysed in this field. Concepts of sustainable tourism and destination were evaluated along with models that were developed sustainable destination management on islands. Data gathered from stakeholders by surveys, interviews and direct observation methods, were analyzed with the help of SPSS and LISREL software packages. A “vine model” has been developed according to the findings for sustainable destination management of Bozcaada. ort his purpose, barriers, problems and ways of solutions related to sustainable tourism were predicted with their institutional bodies. The vine model for Bozcaada proposes both a transition to sustainable tourism and optimal sustainable management
