Abstract:

This study aims to evaluate the professional self-perceptions of pre-school teachers candidates in terms of the type of high school graduated, the preference order of the higher education program, class level and the variables in the state of being a teacher in the family. The research was carried out at the Gazi University in Ankara, the Technical University of the Middle East, the University of Ankara and the Faculty of Education of the University of Hacettepe, the third and fourth grade students who are studying in the Pre-School Teaching Anabolics Branches, a total of 212 girls students. The "Professional Self Respect Measurement" was developed by Arıcak (1999) to evaluate professional self-perceptions. The "Personal Information Form" has been used to obtain information about the type of high school graduated, the preference order of the higher education program, the class level and the state of being a teacher in the family. In the analysis of the data, t Test, one-directional variance analysis (ANOVA) was used. The study found that the type of high school graduated, the preferred order of the higher education program, the class level and the variables whether or not the teacher in the family did not cause a significant statistical difference on the scores they obtain from the scale of professional self-esteem (p > .05).
