Araştırma, Türkiye’deki devlet üniversitelerinde Eğitim Fakültesi Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi (BÖTE) bölümlerinde görevli öğretim elamanlarının bölüm hakkındaki düşüncelerini almayı amaçlamıştır. Tarama yöntemi ile yürütülmüş olan araştırmanın çalışma evrenini 26 devlet üniversitesinin eğitim fakülteleri BÖTE bölüminde görev yapan 100 öğretim elemanı oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunu ise iki açık uçlu sorudan oluşan anketi doldurarak görüşlerini bildiren devlet üniversitelerinin Eğitim Fakültesi BÖTE Bölümlerinden 57 öğretim elemanı oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen ham veriler, içerik analizi tekniği ile analiz edilerek, öğretmen yetiştirme ve eğitim programı adlı iki temaya ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, bilişim teknolojileri öğretmenlerinin görev tanımındaki belirsizlik ve öğretmenlerden beklenenler ile lisans eğitiminin birbirini tamamlamaması ulaşılan temel sonuçlar olarak ifade edilebilir. Ayrıca, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi Bölümünün teknoloji yoğun bir program oluşu, lisans seviyesinde uluslararası başka bir örneğinin olmaması ve Eğitim Fakülteleri bünyesinde son açılan programlardan birisi olması nedeniyle çeşitli yapısal sorunları barındırmaktadır.
The research aims to obtain opinions about the department of the teaching elemen responsible for the Department of Computer and Teaching Technologies Education (BÖTE) of the School of Education in the state universities in Turkey. The study universe of the research, which was conducted by the scan method, is composed of 100 teachers who work in the BÖTE department of 26 state universities’ educational faculty. The study group is composed of 57 teachers from the BÖTE departments of the state universities who report their opinions by filling an survey consisting of two open end questions. The raw data obtained, analyzed through the content analysis technique, has been reached to two topics called teacher training and training program. According to the research, information technology can be expressed as the uncertainty in the definition of the tasks of teachers and the expectations from teachers and the fundamental results achieved by the non-completion of the bachelor's education. Furthermore, the Department of Computer and Teaching Technology Education has various structural problems due to the formation of a technology-intense program, the absence of any other international example at the bachelor’s level and the fact that it is one of the latest programs opened within the Faculty of Education.
