Abstract:

Despite the existence of a contract relating to refugees under international law, this agreement is much more than a real refugees and asylum seekers they need social security rights they need. It also seems to have a holistic legislation for a long time when we look at the legislation that regulates the right of asylum in Turkey. The law on foreigners that came into force in 2014 is a step taken to remedy this lack. However, even in that law, Turkey maintains the geographical limitations reservation that it put on the 1951 Convention on Refugees. Turkey's geographical limitation continue to impede the solution of problems in this regard. In particular, social security rights in the context of the 5510 Act has not been given to refugees while giving place to the refugee definition reinforces the concept of discrimination in this regard.
