Women’s Journal has been published under the title of ‘Sosyal-Siyasi-İçtimai Kadın Gazetesi’ on March 1, 1947. The most important feature that distinguishes the newspaper from other newspapers and magazines published by this date is that there is more space for political and social issues rather than fashion and magazine issues and its long-lived broadcast. The newspaper has been fighting for a better utilization of existing women’s rights rather a new claim for women. It’s because, the number of women in the parliament has decreased after the period of Ataturk, and this number continued to decrease even more over the years. Moreover, the fallowing policies after 1946 women have been moved away from working life Women’s Journal has been published at a time when women lived in these issues. Women’s Journal fought for Effective use of women’s rights and the protection of Ataturk’s principles and reforms. Women’s Journal worked as a publication with Turkish Women’s Union to ensure that Republican women in social life more active and more conscious. In this article, the status of Turkish women in politics and social life will be examined thru the Women’s Journal view. In addition, we will be providing samples of the publication effects on the social structure from that time period.
