In Urartians, religion played a significant role in the regulation of social organizations and provision of social association. Thus, the political and govermental mechanism was influenced from the religion in Urartians. For this reason, Urartian religion became the legal religion of the Urartu state under the support of the kingdom. It is understood from the inscriptions related to kingdom that a religion with a broad participation was formed by combining varios religious beliefs and gods beloning to Hurrian tribes living in Urartu country and various ethnic groups. As a result, the important indicators of a religion centered political structuring in Urartu country are starting the inscriptions adressing the main god Haldi, inscriptions that exhibit crowning in cult centers, or inscriptions explaining that politic activities such as war and peace or practices to increase economical productivity were all conducted with the power of god
