Abstract:

The term followed by the establishment of the new regime is expressed by the years starting with the end of the War of Independence and Proclamation of the Republic. In this period, the Republic of Turkey has begun to realize many revolutionary changes in order to prove its existence to whole world and be a part of Western civilization. This continuing change under basis of modernization has been carried out wide range with various legal arrangements on the one hand and attempts to organize the social life fluency in Western sense on the other hand. This progress also means the styling of daily life of country people different from the traditional period. Experienced in 1929, the World Economic Crisis had affected the Turkey in short time like whole world. The businesses had shut down and bankrupted, the export had reduced in the agricultural based economy, and the value of the agricultural products had reduced. One of the biggest drawbacks to the newly established regime was the economic crisis which had effects for long years.experienced in the city, the demographic, economic and social structure had differentiated, and this difference had shown itself in every field of the city. Thus, this period starting with the Proclamation of the Republic had started the period restoring the city in every sense together with the established political, social and economic changes. The symbolic town of the Republic, İzmir has been tried to change the each moment of daily life within the framework of the regime, the Economic Crisis which had been experienced in 1929 had added different dimension to this change. This study includes the daily life and the life conditions which have been changed after 1929 Economic Crisis
