General policy of the period, which can be defined as Goverments of Damat Ferit, is shaped between Mondros Armistice and Sevr Agreement. General attitude of the Party was to regain amity of British Empire, to prevent re-strengthening of Unionists, and to support all kind of activities against the movement of National Struggle, and acting through benefits of Britain. During World War II, after the occupation of France, Government of Vichy was established in 1940. The Vichy Government shaped its politics through the claims of Nazi Germany, and followed a conservative and anti-Semitic policy against popular Front.
