Kent konseylerinin bilinirliğinin ve etkinlik düzeyinin ele alındığı araştırmanın iki amacı bulunmaktadır. Birinci amacı: kent konseylerinin ve Bursa Kent Konseyi’nin, Bursa kentinde yaşayan vatandaşlar tarafından ne oranda bilindiğinin tespit edilmesi ve Bursa’da yaşayan vatandaşların kent konseylerinin yasal – yönetsel yapısı hakkında bilgi düzeylerinin araştırılmasıdır. İkinci olarak; kent konseylerinin Belediye Kanununun 76. maddesinde ve Kent Konseyi Yönetmeliğinin 6. maddesinde belirtilen görevleri ne oranda yerine getirdiğinin vatandaşların gözüyle ortaya konulmasıdır. Yüz yüze anket tekniğinin kullanıldığı ve 2915 kişiyle görüşmenin gerçekleştirildiği alan araştırmasından çıkan sonuçlardan hareketle Türkiye’de kent konseylerinin vatandaşlar tarafından daha bilinir olabilmeleri ve görevlerini etkin bir şekilde yerine getirebilmeleri yönünde önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
There are two objectives of the research that discuss the awareness and level of activity of the city councils. The first objective is to determine how much the city councils and the city councils are known by the citizens living in the city of Bursa and to investigate the level of knowledge about the legal and administrative structure of the city councils of the citizens living in Bursa. Secondly, it is the opinion of the citizens of how much the municipal councils perform the duties specified in Article 76 of the Municipal Law and Article 6 of the City Council Regulations. Following the results of the field research that used the face-to-face survey technique and the meeting with 2915 people was carried out, the city councils in Turkey were recommended to be more familiar with the citizens and to be able to perform their tasks effectively.
