This research discusses the linguistic, idiomatic, and functional meanings of myths to know about their origin and their specific ceremonies over their mythological history using specialized dictionaries and references. The research turned to some of the Jordanian poets for help to explain the development of the Jordanian Arabic poetry on the textual construction level in the sense that it came to support the contemporary position and the deep poetic vision in the harsh polotical and social circumstances.Myth is an artistic tool and a subjective alternative to bring the poet his psychlogical balance back; it also helps the poem with a highly intensive dramatic and narative construction. myth has turned the poetic texts to have variety of voices; it also changed the poem to be an active nucleus full of artistic and expressive significances in order to apply it on the real life with its political, economical, and social dimensions.It also sheds light on some of the mythological symbols to illustrate the motivations that led the poets to insipre the myths and insist on using them
