Abstract:

The faith (iman) issue has been taken place in of basic hadith sources and have been made different interpretations regarding to the faith. In the context of these narratives, defination of faith, relation of faith to deed and to Islam, decline and increase in faith, faith and deadly sin etc. problems has been evoked serious discussions and some times caused deep seperations in muslim societies. In this regards, Imam Abu Hafs Sirâjuddîn Omar bin Alî bin Ahmad al-Ansârî al-Mısrî (d. 804/1401), also known as Ibn al-Mulaqqin who has refered such as canonist (fâqih), imâm, muhaddîs, hâfiz, ‘allâma, and who has around 300 works, discussed with other sects on issues related to faith and respond to their views and made some refutations. One of his works in the hadith is al-tawzîh lisherh al-Jâmi’ al-sahîh which is a commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari. In this study, it will be examined his thought about faiths in the contect of his commentary
