Kur’ân, mesajını Arap dili ile iletmiştir. Kur’ân’ın kendi mesajını belli bir topluma belli bir dille iletmiş olması bir anlamda muhataplarına o dilin sınırları içinde seslenmesi anlamına gelmektedir. Bundan dolayı Kur’ân yorumunda dilsel analiz yoluyla önemli tespitlere ulaşabiliriz. Kur’ân’ın bir kelimeyi hangi bağlamlarda ve hangi dil bilgisi kurallarına göre kullandığı oldukça önemlidir. Çünkü bir kelime cümle içerisinde tâbi olduğu nahiv kurallarına göre anlam kazanmakta ve ait olduğu metnin temsil ettiği dünya görüşünün içerisindeki konumuna dair önemli ipuçlarına sahip olmaktadır. Çalışmamızın ana konusu olan “resûl” mefhûmu İslâm dininin temel unsurlarındandır. Biz de çalışmamızda “resûl” kelimesinin dindeki yerini tespit etme konusuna katkıda bulunmak için “resûl” kelimesinin atıf konusu özelinde Kur’ân metni içerisinde tâbi olduğu nahiv kurallarından yola çıkarak bir takım sonuçlara ulaşmayı hedefledik. Bunun yanında sayısal verilerden de faydalandık. Bu şekilde Hz. Peygamber’in din içerisindeki yerine dair verilere de ulaşmaya çalıştık.
