The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there is a difference in the basic motor development of students in state and private schools. Total 337 children, participated in this study from state school (79 girl-83 boy) and private school (81 girl-94 boy). The test of Gross Motor Development-II (TGMD-II) which widely used to measure basic motor characteristics was applied as measurement method. As statistics method, Firstly, to determine whether the data have a normal distribution, Shapiro wilk normality tests was performed. After the data has determined as normal distribution, Independent Samples T test was performed. At the result of this Study a significant difference of TGMD-II Locomotor test (p<0,05; p = 0,000) and Tmgd-II total test (p<0,05; p = 0,005) results was found between the children who educated private schools and educated state schools (p<0.05). The TGMD-II test results of students who went to public school were found to be better than the students who attended private study, although there was no significant difference in TGMD-II object control test results (p> 0.05, p = 0.977).
