Abstract:

The importance of teaching Turkish to foreigners is increasing day by day and in parallel to this, teaching Turkish to foreigners with effective lesson materials is also gaining importance. It is obvious that lesson books which are the main materials most commonly used in teaching Turkish to foreigners have increased recently. Thus, it is needed to scientific studies about which order and which context the subjects are given in these books. In this study, it is researched that which order and context the usage features of plural suffix are given in New Hitit Turkish lesson book for foreigners I and Lale Turkish lesson book for foreigners I. In this study document analysis method is used and the usage features of plural suffix in Turkish teaching lesson books for foreigners are emphasized. According to research results, there are differences about the order and context of teaching plural suffix in New Hitit Turkish lesson book for foreigners I and Lale Turkish lesson book for foreigners I. With the data obtained from this study, the differences in question are evaluated sorted by the unit in which the plural suffix is taught, grammar, its scope and appeared form in books . At the end of this study, it is hoped that the suggestions developed in the light of these data will contribute to the teaching of plural suffix in books teaching Turkish to foreigners.
