The aim of this research was to examine the games, game zones and toys choices of 5-6 year-olds preschool children at their free time activities. The participants of this study comprised of 15 children and two preschool teachers. In this qualitative research the data was collected by semi structured interviews with teachers and student observations. Open-ended questions such as “What types of toys, materials, and games do the children choice while they were playing in their free time?” were asked to the teachers. In classroom observations, the children were observed with respect to their choices of game zone, game, toys and materials while they were participating in free time activities. The results showed that children mostly choose to play at the art zone, playing house and the block corner at their free times.
