Abstract:

The aim of this study was gifted and talented students of science (physics, chemistry, biology) that take care of laboratory practice safety measures made on the face that situation and laboratory safety are put forward their views on the need to. Labour, Science and Art Center in Istanbul continued to 48 was carried out with gifted and talented students. The study used qualitative research methods, data consisting of five open-ended questions "Gifted and Talented Science Laboratory Safety Measures of Student Work Related Opinion Survey" was obtained. Data were analyzed with content analysis of the validity and reliability provided by the authors. The results obtained in the majority of students in the process and pay attention to safety measures which prior to the experiment, but it was determined that some of the students pay attention to the safety precautions. They think these students are not dangerous or because of carelessness in the case study to follow the rules. They comply with the safety precautions of the majority of students, it was understood that they know that they can meet with injuries and in case of accidents or teachers should give immediate notice to the authorities. Students to be faced with unexpected situations in laboratory studies, to training for their laboratory safety measures and the training given to the presentation, board preparation, the use of techniques such as film and animation has expressed the need.
