Students’ expectations from Social Studies teachers are different and great. Social Studies teachers who want their students to gain skills and knowledge which are essential in the social life and the content of the social studies course must have qualities to fulfil these expectations. It is important that in order to implement the learning-instruction process of Social Studies curriculum effectively and institutionally, it must be evaluated by the students who are the subjects of the process and the necessary arrangements must be done according to these evaluations. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study to collect data. The population of the research consisted of 45 volunteer students and these students were chosen among the 15 secondary schools located in the city centre of Kırşehir where teaching training course was carried out in 2012-2013 education year. The activities which the students liked most differ according to the grades. 5th grades enjoy school trips, 6th grades like map activities, and 7th grades love the question-answer activity. The topics which students have the most difficulty with learning in social studies course show similarities regarding the grades
