Abstract:

The main aim of this study to reveal long-term changes and trends in the time series of temperature, precipitation and stream-flow of Büyük Menderes River Basin. According for this purpose, temperature and precipitation series of Uşak, Afyon, Denizli and Aydın and stream-flow series of Kestel and Çine creeks is evaluated. Nonparametric Mann-Kendall statistical test results showed an increasing trend of the temperature. The long-term trend of annual precipitation demonstrated a decreasing trend in Afyon, an increasing trend in Denizli, Aydın, Uşak; however, it was not found to be statistically significant. The stream-flow of Kestel and Çine creeks showed an increasing trend in the last 20 years, but it was not found to be statistically significant
