Mavera Journal, which was published without any interruption between 1979-1990, had played a significant role in raising intellectual Muslims who can approach with an Islamic worldview to the every aspects of life. Due to the fact that story writing as a form of writing was imported from the West, especially in the first period of Turkish storytelling Westernism was much more prevalent as compared to Islamist worldview. After 1960's by the emergence of authors who wrote with an Islamic sensitivity, Muslim authors started to develop a different style of story writing overtime. Who is the storyteller? What, how and to what extent a storyteller who has religious sensitivity should narrate? Are there any rules which a Muslim storyteller should abide? We tried to reply these kind of questions based on an examination of Mavera‘s first 82 volume, and discussing selected passages from stories
