Abstract:

İnkumu and Çakraz beaches which become the subject of our study are lo- cated in the Western Black Sea Region and in the borders of Bartın province. In the province which has usually high coastal structures, the beaches of bays have gained importance from tourism aspects. Bartın is a province having high potential of tourism with its untouched beaches and alternative tourism opportunities. However, tourism supply and demand in the province has not reached its usual balance in spite of the increase in both the numbers of coming tourist and accommodation facilities. In addition, though some factors such as being widespread of tourism awareness, the increase in tourism vari- ety and studies related to presentation have increased the interest towards tourism, this increase has not reached a desired level. Çakraz holiday village and İnkumu summer house presented in this study are relatively in good position in terms of accommodation facilities and can respond the needs. According to results of Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate’s data and our observations made in the place, there are 11 hostels and hotels in İnkumu, and also Çakraz has 14 hostels and hotels in the year, 2009.
