The aim of this study is to define the factors affecting performans of the students who are studying 6 th grade in terms of learning and teaching of Geog-raphy course issues in Social Studies. With the aim, a survey and an performance test were given to 194 students (95 female, 101 male) studying different four elemantary schools and their teachers ‘ were also given a survey. The results show that students’ attitude to the course, study types, methods and techniqes using by teachers and material also affect students performance.
