This present study aims to identify Music Teacher Training Department undergraduate students` possibility of experiencing physical problems due to playing instruments, whether the problems exhibit differences in terms of certain variables and the students` own views as to the reasons of their physical problems. The study group comprises 125 undergraduate students attending Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Education, Department of Music Teacher Training Programme in the Division of Fine Arts Training. In line with the aim of the study, a questionnaire developed by the researcher has been conducted on the study group. The followings conclusions have been reached by the research; the students mostly have problems with their back, low back and neck as a result of playing instruments. There is a meaningful correlation between the physical problems experienced during the practice and following the practice. There is a meaningful relationship between the possibility of experiencing physical problems and the gender of the students. The students express their view that the main reason for experiencing these problems is not having done physical warm-up prior to the practice session.
