The purpose of this study is to define the relationship between the case of having amateurish music education and attitudes towards school in sixth-grade students. The scanning-model study has a universe of sixth-grade students and a samle group of sixth-grade students attending 8 different schools in Ankara. The school-attitudes of the students were determined by the "School Attitude Scale" developed for this study. Data was evaluated using suitable statistichal tecniques for the study. Depending on the field of music, duration of intsruction and music lesson frequency, the school-attitudes of music-students were more positive than non-music students according to the findings.
