One of the most important issues in the Qur’an and hadiths is “not to betray”. Everything, material and spiritual which is given to be reclaimed to human being by both God and people, is valued in the sense of trust. Man’s diminishing and consuming anything left to him as a trust, not keeping his promises, acquiring on public property unfairly, and not fulfilling the religious orders are considered as all treasons. While recommending all of these treasons not to be done, it is also recommended not to betray to those who betray in Islam. The Holy Prophet also didn’t betray anything left to Him as a trust, and He also didn’t betray to the others. He also recommended to the whole of humanity not to betray. In this article, it is tried to investigate “What treason is, what its dimensions and socio-cultural maleficences are” in the light of hadiths
