The original values of classical religious and philosophical texts playing an important role in the formation of Islamic thought have always made clear to re-read, re-understand and re-interpret them. Indeed, many examples of these re-reading approaches have been encountered in the history of Islamic thought. In the unearthing of these classical texts in today’s world or produced effective paradigms on the process of global interaction could have been faced a number of problems. Therefore, unless these problems are being analysed and will be ignored, re-reading, comprehension and interpretation activities could have failed in terms of both protecting authenticity of the classical texts and providing functionality and validity of the new paradigms that may arise as a result of these readings. In this paper, it will be examined methodological problems about re-reading of the classical religious and philosophical texts in today’s world which is shaped by global interactions. The aforementioned study will be discussed in the context of homogeneity and heterogeneity appearing in the process of contemporary global interaction.
