Abstract:

This article tries to determine the early Muslim society’s attitude towards the disabled. We have established a base on real life stories of disabled during that time to revive the spirit of this early generation by means of principles. Therefore, we have briefly mentioned the life story of disabled companions of the Prophet (pbuh), their family life, marriage, children (if any), how they made a living, their psychological situation and if they fall into a depression and finally how their disability affected their social life. It is possible to summarize the teachings of the Prophet on handicapped in three points: Keeping them connected and inside social life, developing awareness about them, providing a functional integrity between them and society.
