The purpose of this study is to determine the general tendency in the field of physics education research. For this aim, a total 150 articles published for the period 1990-2011 years in five electronic journals (Hacettepe University Faculty of Education, Gazi University Faculty of Education, National Education, Turkish Science Education and Pamukkale University Faculty of Education) were analyzed. The findings of the study have offered that Hacettepe University Faculty of Education and Gazi University Faculty of Education have more publications of physics education. Experimental studies have used the more as a variety of research studies and the type of compilation has used at least. The researches sample consists of prospective teachers and secondary school students and the cognitive dimension of the work has used the more than others. There is intensity in subjects of Force and Motion, Electricity and Magnetism.
