Abstract:

Although they have the same origin, human beings have always been fighting each other and creating chaos ever since. They did that in order to gain sovereignty. In doing so, they established the religion, which is the main value of human beings, above all the other means. Today, as in the other parts of the world, various forces have been trying to continue their control on Balkans, especially on Albania and Kosovo, by using religion. These two countries especially witness the Christian missionaries who summon the local people to convert to the religion of their ancestors, that is, Christianity. They claim that the ancestors of Kosovo people (the Illyrians) adopted Christianity since the apostolic times. Giving a general information on Illyrians and the entrance of Christianity into Balkans, this article discusses the various opinions about the entrance and the spread of Christianity in Balkans.
