The purpose of this study was to examine social integration levels of students based on a variety of variables at a university. The design of the study was correlational and the sample included 435 students from 6 faculties and 17 departments at a university in the Marmara Region. Students’ distribution based on the fields was: 65.1 % in social sciences, 34.9 % in health sciences, sciences and engineering. 30.1 % of the students were males and 58.6 % of the students were female. Data collection instrument was developed by Braxton (1998). The instrument was adopted in Turkish by the authors. In addition to descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVAs and correlations were used to analyze the data. Findings indicated that students’ social integration levels differed based on gender, field of study, and departments. General academic integration differed based on discipline while there were significant relationships between the dimensions of social integration and general academic.
