Purpose of this research is to presentattitude and expectations of candidate educators towards photography course by the extent of teaching process, and curriculum. Furthermore, research aims to determine scientific level of the course in terms of teaching process dimension only. Photography is an undergradute level course in art education departments Nine universities that are under the roof of YÖK were contacted in order to achieve this aim. Art education departments’ universe, independently selected departments from abovementioned 9 departments form the sample of the research. The demographic information about the students that participating the research are presented in the form of percentage and frequency tables. Results from the research’ smeasurement tool, surveyed with using “t” test and one way variance test and also non-parametric tests of “Mann Whitney U” and “KruskalWalls” if may differ according to independent variables such as gender, university, department, studio and course. SPSS 15 and ITEMAN software utilized analysing the data that used in the research process. As a result of research, the reaction of the measuring instrument, a significant difference was observed in terms of gender. Therefore, the visual arts educator candidates who attended the photography course in art education department, displayed significant difference in their attitude and expectations of the students towards university, department studio and course level. It can be argued that the students are not satisfied with the over all sense of competence of the photography class.
