Quality of air decreases due to the increase at air pollution and air pollution is tried to be made extinct by arrangements at local, national and global scales. Related to this, for a cleaner air, laws are made, serious kinds of organizations are established, and economical and educational preventions are held. These preventions are primarily held at developed countries in which air pollution level has reached to serious levels. Although air pollution has become a problem since the second half of the 20th century in Turkey, especially in places where urbanization and industrialization has developed, and in winter, air pollution has been a serious problem in Turkey. Related to the problems experienced, it has been acted laws and has been established serious organizations in order to prevent air pollution. In the process in which these preventions have been held, the international scale of the problem has been important as much as trying to abrogate the air pollution experienced in Turkey. At this study, it is aimed at analysing the legal arrangements in Turkey on air pollution which has been occured and goes on due to urbanization and industrialization. It is also aimed at betraying and evaluating governmental and non governmental organizations occured at historical process.
