In today’s economy in which competition has been reached to a global level, taking the most rational decisions and applying them in the right place and time is the essential key for organizations to continue their existence in the future. Otherwise, in time organizations may have to overcome a painful and threatening process that is called decline. This study aims to search for clues which are related to the existence and reasons of organizational decline in the hospitality industry that is one of the industries in which global competition is experienced most intensively. As a result of the questionnaire study, sectoral assessments of managers, who work for hospitality businesses in Antalya, towards operational, strategic and environmental reasons that might lead to decline of organizations, were measured. Administrators stated that environmental factors such as economic recession, crisis, decrease in demand, public regulations weakens the hospitality businesses and thus lead to their decline more than others. It is also emphasized for most of the variables which are determined in order to measure the operational and strategic reasons which might accelerate the decline that businesses are generally strong but it is necessary to pay attention to some factors that are related to such reasons.
