Abstract:

The aim of research is to reveal the primary school 3rd grade students perceptions of efficient teacher and to determine what kind of a teacher they would prefer. In this research, interview forms consisting of 4 questions were used and applied to 35 students studying in Kamile Gürkan Primary School, Isparta. First, data was transformed from cyber form into written form by the researcher, then analyzed by using descriptive analysis which is one of the techniques of qualitative research. To ensure the reliability of the research, 3 different experts’ ideas were taken into consideration. By detecting the amount of consensus and dissidence in comparisons, the reliability of research was calculated and the result is %92. At the end of the research; according to the answers given by the students to reveal the perception of efficient teacher, it is understood that speaking of an efficient teacher of primary school, personal features are much more important than professional talents
