The aim of this study is to determine students' views which visual arts course for authentic assessment approaches were made. Research was conducted in the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year in the district of Erzurum Province Erzurum High School, in Yakutiye. In the study, the Visual Arts Authentic Assessment Process Detection Evaluation Form (GSODSADF) was used. While acquiring the data, qualitative data were content analysis which belongs to qualitative data analysis methods. In the process of authentic assessment museums, exhibitions and historical is seen as a way they visual experience, visual field problem solving, techniques and tools of the possibilities of research, technical possibilities of use and power of expression with the technical rules of synthesizing new reviews reaching innovation creativity as well as behaviors. In interviews with students in the research process they stated found museums and exhibitions and event process interesting. In addition to this, stated to they find it interesting and they practice before the product file, self-assessment and group assessment stated that they welcomed. They said they enjoyed from these applications as well as research and Project they stated that they found quite helpful. All of these views is quite a large portion of the students against the visual arts course have noted a positive change in thinking.In the end of study most of the students stated that they changed their views about visual arts into the positive way.
