An enterprise which may present products or services to the final consumer timely in today's competitive conditions gains a strategic edge over other enterprises. Especially, in consideration of these enterprises are hospitals, this becomes more important. Hospitals are quite important in terms of human health. Hospitals are organizations operating for 24 hours since patient treatment is an urgent and irrefutable situation and service is provided to the hospitalized patients. Therefore, different drugs, medical materials and other supplementary materials should be kept sufficiently so that the service flow would not be interrupted in the hospitals. In the present study, classification of the activities and alignment according to the importance through ABC and VED analysis which is important for the hospitals for efficient management of these processes. Furthermore, at the end of the study, to keep consistency of the stock of the medical consumables with the system stock was aimed. Quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as descriptive research designs were used in the study. Data were chosen through randomized sampling method. Field studies as well as purchase, logistics and stock management units and operand systems were utilized. In the present study, data of 127 items in the emergency room was considered only. Since the hospital is very large and has many stock units, the study was limited with the emergency room only. Disposable medical consumables were included into the scope of examination only.
