Abstract:

Iliya Çavçavadze, one of the leading names of 19th-century Georgian literature and political life, constitutes a very important period of Georgian social development and draws attention to its complex facts. He is a transitional writer. He is a person who has presented social problems of great importance for his time in his works, and has made a great struggle with the weapon of his creative ideology to bring solutions to these problems. The purpose of this work is to identify the language games in the work translated by Turkologist Asmat Caparidze of the novel The Writings of the Traveler, one of the important works of the Georgian writer Ilya Çavçavadze. The result of the work was found that the translation was very successful in linguistic and meaningful terms, but in the framework of language games it was also found that it brought a number of problems with it. These problems are caused by the word level in the source text. Considering the subject relationship and the purpose language characteristics, recommendations for the solution of the problems of the language games have been brought and identified while the Turkish Language Institute's Dictionary and Dictionary, Eter Mamulia Turkish-Gurkish Dictionary and Turkish-Gurkish two-colored dictionaries have been used.
