Abstract:

ÖZET Bu araştırmanın konusunu oluşturan Sarıbelen (Sidek) polyesi ve Katran dağı, Toros Karst Kuşağı’nın Batı Toroslar kesiminde yer almaktadır. Bir kıvrım sistemini kapsayan inceleme alanındaki Sarıbelen jeomorfolojik ünitesi, Sidek senklinalinin karstlaşmasıyla oluşmuş tektono-karstik kökenli bir polyedir. Yoğun bir karstlaşmaya sahip olan Katran dağı ünitesi ise kıvrım sistemini tamamlayan antiklinal niteliğindedir. Araştırmada, Polye ve Katran dağının güncel karstlaşma koşulları ile karstik özelliklerinin açıklanması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, bölgedeki kayaların lito-stratigrafik özellikleri ile sahadaki güncel karstlaşmayı denetleyen diğer jeolojik ve coğrafi etkenler incelenmiştir. Ayrıca sahadaki karstik şekillerin morfolojik özellikleri ile oluşum ve gelişimleri, bu bölgesel karst etkenleriyle ilişkilendirilerek açıklanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda hazırlanan inceleme alanının jeomorfoloji haritası ile çeşitli tablo, kesit ve grafikler makale içerisinde sunulmuştur. ABSTRACT Sarıbelen (Sidek) polje and Katran mountain, the topic of this research is located on the west of Toros Karst Zone. Sarıbelen geomorphological unit is a tectono-karstic based polje that was formed bye the karsting of Sidek senclinal on the research area which to comprise a curve system. Katran mountain has an intense karsting and the specification of being the anticlinal that completes the curve system. The aim of this research is to explain the actual karsting conditions and karstic properties of Katran mountain and Polje. Therefore, litho-stratigraphic specifications of the rocks on the region and other geological and geographical factors that control actual karsting on the field were researched. Besides, morphological properties, forming and development of karstic figures on the field were explained in relation with these regional karst factors. A consequent geomorphological map, various tables, cross-sections and graphics of the research area presented within the article.
