ABSTACT. - The sufistic activities that started to spread in the 13th century in Anatolia became more widespread with the principalities becoming independent. Among these ideal trends, especially Bektaşîlik and Mevlevîlik were led when the number of the people they address is taken into account. In the spread of Mevlevîlik during the reign of Germiyan Principality in Kütahya, the activities of the sons Mevlânâ had been influential. The visits of Mevlânâ’s son Sultan Veled and his grandson Ulu Ârif Çelebi to Kütahya played an important role in Mevlevîlik’s becoming known in the region and the Mevlevîhâne founded in the city center by Celâleddin Ergun Çelebi from Mevlânâ family caused this sufistic trend to become stronger. Mevlevîlik was adopted in Germiyan palaces during the reign of I. Yakub Bey who himself was a Mevlevî alloted prosperious foundations to Karahisar (Afyon) Mevlevîhâne on behalf of Ulu Ârif Çelebi. Yakub Bey’s son Musa Bey, donated some of his estate to Mevlevîhâne of Eğirdir. Mevlevîlik which developed during the reign of Germiyan Principality in Kütahya, continued during the Ottomans reign and both the architectural style of Mevlevîhâne was protected and the Mevlevîhâne was supported by prosperious foundations
