Academic dishonesty and cheating has become a widespread problem among high school and university students. In the present study, we examined students’ evaluations of cheating behavior, levels of cheating, attitudes towards cheating and in relation to sex, level of education, schoool grade and perception of success at the formal religious education institutions. The research was conducted on 256 students attented at Samsun İmam-Hatip High School, 19 May University the Faculty of Theology and the faculty of Education Department of Religious Culture and Ethics in the academic year of 2011–2012.
