Son yıllarda yaşanan küreselleşme çalışmalarından dolayı birçok sektörde olduğu gibi, ülkelerin bankacılık sektörlerinde de geniş çaplı değişiklikler olmuş ve olmaya da devam etmektedir. Finans sektörü içersinde hem fon toplayan hemde fon sağlayan birimler olarak bankaların üstlenmiş oldukları roller çok önemlidir. Sağlıklı bir ekonomik yapıda sağlıklı bir bankacılık sisteminin olması oldukça önemlidir. Bankaların performansının yüksek ve sürekli olması, bu sektörle doğrudan ya da dolaylı olarak ilişkisi olan diğer sektörlere de pozitif yansıyacağı anlamına gelir. Bu çalışmada bankaların performanslarını ölçmede bağımlı değişkenler olarak ROA ve ROE kullanılmıştır. Veriler 2002-2012 yıllarını kapsayan yıllık verilerden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada, ROA (Aktif getiri) ve ROE (Özkaynak getirisi) bağımlı değişkenleri yerli banka grupları olan KSMB ve ÖSMB grubunda uzun dönemde performans sürekliliği gösterdiği saptanmıştır. YSMB gurubu ise sadece ROA’ya göre uzun dönemde performans sürekliliği sergilediği tespit edilmiştir
As in many sectors, as in many sectors, because of the recent globalization work, there have been and continues to be large-scale changes in the banking sectors of the countries. The role that the banks play as entities that collect funds within the financial sector is very important. It is very important to have a healthy banking system in a healthy economic structure. The high and continuous performance of banks means that it will be positive to other sectors that are directly or indirectly related to this sector. In this study, ROA and ROE were used as dependent variables to measure the performance of banks. The data consists of annual data covering the years 2002-2012. The study found that ROA (Active Revenue) and ROE (Self-Source Revenue) dependent variables showed long-term performance continuity in the KSMB and ÖSMB group, the local banking groups. The YSMB group has been found to show performance continuity over a long period only according to ROA.
