Abstract:

Umariyyatan is one of the key issues of Islamic Inheritance Law, which has manly controversies, different opinions and discussions since the time of the Prophet’s companions. Umariyyatan case is defined in childless deceased who leaves mother and father along with one of the spouses (husband or wife). This study aims at determining juridical opinions relating to the subject, and evaluating them within the frame of inheritance rules in terms of their practical consequences.
