The purpose of this research is to scrutinize how the university administrators meeting administrative problems deal with the organizational conflicts. For this purpose, the strategies of conflict management have been examined so that how much they show these strategies. A survey method is used and survey letters sent to all administrators in Kocaeli University. Although the results of the research indicated that all conflict management strategies have been used by the administrators, some strategies have been seen more than the other strategies. Generally, the university administrators show greater use of avoiding strategy and they show lower use of adaptation strategy. Additionally, the use of strategy changes among the administrative ranks. Although the similar strategies for the conflict management were implemented among the same ranks, the use of strategies between upper and lower status sees are implemented quite different. While the higher rank administrators mostly prefer to use the strategy of avoiding solving the problems at the lower ranks, they do not like to use the strategy of dominating on the lower ranks. Contrary, while the lower rank administrators embrace the strategy of dominating, they at the lowest level show the strategy of avoiding.
