Muhasebe mesleğinde mesleki eğitimin en üst kalitede verilebilmesi amacıyla hazırlanan Uluslararası Eğitim Standartları, aday meslek mensuplarının kazanması gereken yetkinlikleri içermektedir. Bu çalışma ile 2 No’lu Uluslararası Eğitim Standardı kapsamında belirlenen teknik yetkinliklere ve bu yetkinliklerin göstergesi olarak yayımlanan öğrenme çıktılarına, Ege Bölgesi’ndeki devlet üniversitelerinde verilen muhasebe eğitiminin uyumluluğu irdelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak araştırmaya dahil edilen üniversiteler kapsamında değerlendirildiğinde, Türkiye’de muhasebe eğitiminin, standartlarca belirlenen yetkinlik ve öğrenme çıktılarını tamamen karşılayamadığı tespit edilmiştir.
The International Education Standards, prepared in order to provide high quality professional education in the accounting profession, include the qualifications that candidate professional members must gain. With this study, the compliance of the accounting training provided in the state universities in the Egean region has been assessed to the technical competences specified under the No. 2 International Education Standard and to the learning outcomes published as an indicator of these competences. As a result, when evaluated within the scope of the universities involved in the research, it was found that accounting education in Turkey could not fully meet the qualifications and learning outcomes specified by the standards.
