Abstract:

The 'made learning' method, which is rooted from the applied design studios conducted at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and Bauhaus Design Schools, is one of the tools that serve education with a trans-disciplinary view today. At the scale of the interior architecture, the workshop training is practically carried out while the conceptual and creative process of conceptual development is the starting point of design. Students in the position of the actor of this process are aimed at obtaining the keywords that will give direction during the process. Thus, the responses of keywords can be seen as a 'application' problem in which the subject of transmission with the components of the third dimension of the space is facing students. The purpose and subject of the study has been shown to form depending on this problem, the work of color and sample in the workshop environment has been assessed as a means of concept transfer. As a means of concept transmission of sample and color work, the interior workshop is of importance in terms of supporting the work involved in the project, ensuring the continuity of the knowledge acquired by connecting with the Basic Design Training. The purpose of the research is to emphasize the importance and impact of color-image studies involved in the continuity and transmission of knowledge, in the interior architecture scale. Under the title of the programmed work under the second-class design studio 'Core Space for a Commercial Function', the goal is the creation of the conceptual approach and the search for the stant design, which is a spatial reward. Thus, the workshop subject took fifteen students into the program's scope, which included eight-hour classroom production following the space planning stage of the workshop process. This study, which forms a definite process of studio study, includes a pedagogical approach aimed at transmitting the infinite possibility of color and sample language to the participants. Thus, as a result of the study, the organization’s identity, space perception, user and physical components are taken into account, the conceptual thinking ability is developed through a way of concrete understanding. This approach has been observed to the result that the design process has been influenced and the product output quality has been improved. The need for detailed testing for further studies is also one of the results of the study.
